Hyderabad Chapter of FLO celebrates World Menstrual Hygiene Day with Village Women

Hyderabad Chapter of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) celebrated World Menstrual Hygiene Day in the presence of Pamela Satpathy, the District Collector of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District with 800 village women at the school in the village Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District.

Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual awareness day celebrated on May 28 to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management. This program was done by FLO under the initiative ‘Sustain Her Health’, said Ritu Shah, while addressing 800 plus women in a function held at ZPHS School in Puttapaka.

N Chandrababu Naidu, Party Supremo sounded the poll bugle for the TDP in Andhra Pradesh by announcing a number of welfare programs for the farmers, women, and jobless youth that would be offered once it returned to power in the state following the 2024 assembly elections.

On the last day of the two-day "Mahanadu" program of the party on Sunday night, Chandrababu made a number of significant commitments to women, including the Bhavishyakthu Guarantee scheme which will provide women over the age of 18 with a cash allowance of Rs. 1,500 per month, Rs. 15,000 per year for all mothers, and free transportation facility for women on APSRTC buses within a district.

Women in Wind Global Leadership Program Launched by GWEC and GWNET

The Women in Wind Global Leadership Program will be introduced this year by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and the Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET). With at least 23 participants, from 13 different nations, this year's program will be the biggest yet.

The initiative began in 2019 with an initial group of eight mentees, and this year it will welcome nearly four times as many women who are employed in significant emerging wind energy markets worldwide.

President Draupadi Murmu to travel Serbia and Suriname

From June 4 to June 9, President Draupadi Murmu will travel to Serbia and Suriname. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the President of the Republic of Suriname, Chandrika Prasad Santokhi will be in charge while the President is in Paramaribo from June 4 to June 6.

President Draupadi will be attending the program's honoring the 150th anniversary of India’s arrival in Suriname as the chief guest. The President and her counterpart Santokhi will have bilateral talks.
