By: WE Staff | Tuesday, 29 March 2022
PCOS is a hormonal illness that can cause a variety of health problems in women who have it. It can be efficiently managed by include healthy foods in the daily diet and avoiding processed foods, simple carbs, and sugar. Women with PCOS have high insulin levels, which make them crave more carbs and sweets, perhaps leading to increased calorie intake and obesity.
PCOS-related difficulties can be reduced by regular exercise, a high-fiber and protein diet, probiotics, herbal teas, and omega-3-rich foods.
In the summer, sattu (roasted and ground barley or gramme flour) might be a great complement to persons with PCOS's diet. This drink can be highly good for persons who suffer from this problem and are bloated and constipated.
Avantii Deshpande, a gut health expert and nutritionist, shared a healthy drink composed of sattu and curd for persons with PCOS on Instagram.
Here's how to make it:
Ingredients
1 tablespoon sattu (roasted gramme flour atta)
1 quart curd
Cumin powder (black salt)
Powdered asafoetida
300 ml water coriander, chopped
Produces one glass
Method
In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients, stir well, and pour into a glass.
In the summer, Sattu has a lot of advantages.
Sattu, a superfood made from dry-roasted Bengal gramme, is ideal for the summer months. The cooling properties of the food protect one from the harsh summer heat, and it can be eaten in a variety of ways. Sattu sharbat is a classic dish that can be either sweet or salted.
Sattu is high in fibre, as well as other important minerals, vitamins, iron, and calcium. It's a high-protein source that's both filling and anti-inflammatory. Sattu has a low glycemic index and is therefore recommended for diabetics. It increases bowel movements and helps the body rid itself of pollutants.
