India Draw 1-1 against England at Women's Hockey World Cup 2022

The Indian Women's Hockey team finished their Pool B match at the at the FIH Women's Hockey World Cup Spain and Netherlands against England in a 1-1 draw. The match was being held in Wenger Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen on Sunday.
The two goals of the match were scored by Isabelle Petter(9') and VandanaKatariya (28'). The draw has helped both India and England add a crucial point on the pool table.
Minutes into the game England took the first shot asthe striker shot on goal but Savita’salternessstopped them from converting it.
But in the 9th minute of the first quarter Lily Owsley set up Isabelle Petter with a fine assist and Petter scored the first goal of the match to bring England in the lead.
India won a PC in the following minutes but failed to convert it. India won another PC in the 28th minute and experienced striker VandanaKatariya deflected the ball perfectly past Hinge to win India its first goal of match, thus equalizing the score.
The third quarter saw no goals. The match became a close call with both teams fighting hard to score the winning goal. Team India got the opportunity to gain a lead in 56th minute but the opportunity was missed.
Monika won India’s seventh PC for the match just four minutes before the match ended. But the team failed to convert it.
India kept its defense strong and stopped England from concerting its last PC and the match ended in a draw.
