Val Yap, Co-Founder, PolicyPal
Singapore-based entrepreneur Val Yap made a bold move from corporate finance to fintech by founding PolicyPal in 2016. As CEO, she led the insurtech startups to rapid growth, accumulating over 1000,000 organic users and facilitating $ 70 million in insurance premiums. PolicyPal’s strong market performance ultimately attracted acquisition by a NYSE-listed company, reinforcing Yap’s reputation as a visionary in digital insurance solutions.
Val yap continues to push boundaries of digital insurance as she leads PolicyPal toward regional expansion and deeper user engagement. Passionate about ecosystem building, she also plays an active role in Singapore’s fintech and civic communities by volunteering with the Singapore Fintech Association and the People’s Action Party. Her strategic vision and civic involvement position her as a prominent leader in Singapore’s tech innovation scene.
