Analogous to capturing selfies, patients can now photograph their mouths, allowing AI to provide recommendations and initial assessments. This groundbreaking technology not only facilitates the convenience of scheduling appointments and connecting with dentists from the comfort of one's home but also equips dentists with a quicker and more profound understanding of patients' needs.

What major challenges do you encounter as a business leader? How do you overcome them?

Embarking on the path of a tech entrepreneur was an intense experience, and my career journey has been uniquely shaped by managing various roles, including that of a working mother. The challenges of being the only woman in certain professional settings have strengthened my commitment to resilience and perseverance. Interestingly, as my business has grown and achieved more significant success, the demand for focus, persistence and patience has intensified, underscoring the importance of steadfast determination in overcoming obstacles.

The process of overcoming these challenges was not without its share of hurdles and required time and persistence. Navigating the complexities of being a migrant woman of color in this world, I have not only succeeded but have also garnered registered patents and several government grants for Smilo. The dedicated team of employees I've had the privilege to work with played a crucial role in building the company. This collective effort recently earned me a place in Queensland's 40 under 40 for the year 2023.
