Sqn Ldr Toolika Rani designated as G20 Brand Ambassador for Uttar Pradesh

Squadron Leader Toolika Rani is considered to be the first woman from Uttar Pradesh to climb Mt Everest, In addition to that she is the first Indian woman to scale Asia's tallest volcano, Mt Damavand, in 2012.

Toolika Rani, a former Indian Air Force Officer has been named the brand ambassador of the G20 summit in Uttar Pradesh by the state higher education department. As a G20 summit brand ambassador, Toolika will participate in several functions organized by universities and colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023 to be awarded by Droupadi Murmu

11 chosen youngsters will receive the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2023, from India's President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony today, on January 23. The prize bestowment will take place at Vigyan Bhawan today.

Adidas releases the Official Ball for FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 in Australia

OCEAUNZ, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 Official Match Ball, was unveiled by Adidas in Sydney/Gadigal, Australia. The ball was first hovered by helicopter over Sydney's skyline before landing at Marks Park, which has a vista of Bondi Beach.

OCEAUNZ, the ninth FIFA Women's World Cup football produced by Adidas, is inspired by the natural landscapes of the two host countries. Its imagery pays homage to the mountain ranges of Aotearoa New Zealand, and Australia's connection to the Indian Ocean.

Runner Jyothi Yarraji breaks women's 60m indoor hurdles National Record

Jyothi Yarraji, holder of the national record for women's 100-meter hurdles, broke her record as she ran the women's 60-meter indoor hurdles in 8.20 seconds. In doing so Jyothi created a new national record. Gayathri Govindaraj created the previous record of 8.34 seconds back in 2016. 23-year-old Jyothi stood second in Heat 1 against Ireland's Sarah Lavin, who had run the distance in 8.06 seconds. Jyothi qualified for Final A after she stood fourth overall throughout both heats. She ran 8.23 seconds to get fifth in the 12-woman final.

India's 74th Republic Day parade procession featured a women's power point

During the Republic Day procession on Kartavya Path, India's military self-reliance and its women's empowerment were particularly evident. When Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the principal guest, was being entertained by Supreme Commander President Droupadi Murmu, various marching contingents were led or taken by female officers.

The Egyptian armed forces' mixed band and parade contingent also did participate in the parade, which began at around 10:30 am and ended just before noon following a fly-past. Col. Mahmoud Mohamed Abdelfattah Elkharasawy served as the commander of the Egyptian contingent. 

Kerala's Republic Day parade featured an all-female tableau

On the 74th Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path, the theme of the tableaus of various states and armies was dominated by the empowerment of women.

Kerala is one of the states that will have a tableau shown at the Republic Day parade - on January 26 this year. "Narishakthi and the folk culture that contributed to woman empowerment" will be highlighted. The tableau will feature the Irula dance of the Attappadi tribal women, Shringarimelam from Kannur, and sculptures representing Nanchiamma and Karthyayani Amma, who received the best performer honor and indeed the Narishakthi award, respectively.

The 24-member tableau, which is made up entirely of women, will also highlight the work done by regional groups of women that laid the road for social advancement. "The statue of Nanchiamma, who won a national award, will be represented on the trailer side," said Sini K Thomas, group leader and nodal commissioner of police of the tableau. "The statue of Karthyayaniamma, who carried a literacy inspection with high marks at the year-old of 96 and who was also the awardee of the Narishakthi Award, will be expressed on the tractor side."
