Shriyanka Sadangi's exceptional performance in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions event at the Asian Shooting Championships has cemented India's quota for the Paris Olympics. Finishing fourth in a fiercely competitive field, Sadangi's achievement is a significant stride for India's shooting contingent. The gold medal in this category was claimed by South Korea's Eunseo Lee.
The Indian women shooters displayed remarkable prowess throughout the 3P competition. Sift Kaur Samra, Ashi Chouksey, Shriyanka Sadangi, and Ayushi Podder stood out during the qualification phase, showcasing strong and commendable performances.
During the final rounds, Sadangi maintained a steady and robust position, securing India's coveted quota spot after an impressive display in the initial 10-shot round. Ashi Chouksey further solidified India's presence in the Paris Olympics by securing a quota spot for herself during the final stages of the competition.
