PayNearby launches Digital Naari Initiative for Women's Self-Employment

PayNearby, a digital network and branchless banking platform, has launched the Digital Naari platform to promote sustainable self-employment for women in India. The purpose of the Digital Naari platform is to provide women in rural and semi-urban areas with long-term options for self-employment. The effort showcases the government's "Lakhpati Didi" plan, which aims to promote and integrate one lakh women by the end of 2025.
By increasing their financial well-being and encouraging self-reliance, the initiative seeks to empower women who are entrepreneurs, are single, or struggle due to lack of literacy.
Uplifted bankers specifically women can provide the general public with a wide range of digital and financial services via the Digital Naari platform. Cash withdrawal, opening bank accounts, money transfers, mobile recharge, credit services, insurance and asset assurance, and supporting e-commerce are among the services offered.
Over 10,000 women in PayNearby's network currently supervise over Rs 1000 crore worth of transactions annually. Through collaborations with organizations, self-help groups, and people striving to promote sustainable livelihood among rural women, the Digital Naari platform hopes to expand this network.
PayNearby's founder, MD, and CEO, Anand Kumar Bajaj, acknowledged their honor to be a part of the "Lakhpati Didi" campaign. Through partnerships with different groups, the Digital Naari app helps countless women in becoming financially independent.
