The International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced the most recent world rankings on Monday where the Indian Men's Hockey team has secured the third position and the Indian Women's Hockey Team has been placed at the seventh position.
After losing the top positions in the previous year's match, India is back at the table toppers due to its perfect record during the Asian Champions Trophy 2023 in Chennai last month.
The 12th EuroHockey Championship Trophy was a massive tournament where the Netherlands (3422) maintained their top seat in the women's rankings. Argentina (2767) and Australia (2818) continued to hold the second and third spots, respectively.
The two outstanding teams placed in the fourth and fifth spots are Belgium (2609) who clinched a silver medal at the EuroHockey Championships, and Germany respectively.
The Indian women's hockey team (2325) has moved up one spot and grabbed the seventh seat, replacing Spain (2173) who placed Sixth position initially at the EuroHockey Championships but lost to Belgium and Scotland and lost over 150 points in the world rankings.
