Deepika Padukone has joined the roster of A-list brand ambassadors for luxury jewellery company Cartier. The firm's newest brand ambassador has been revealed to be the actress.

Time magazine's annual list of the 100 most important persons in the world has included Deepika twice. She wore an Indomptables de Cartier Panther and Zebra necklace around her wrist as she attended the BoF 500 Gala in Paris over the weekend. The necklace is composed of yellow gold and black lacquer and set with tsavorite garnet, moonstone, and onyx.

In a statement, Cartier Chief Marketing Officer Arnaud Careys said that Deepika "embodies the maison's attitude and principles of honouring innovation, universality, and open-mindedness" as an inspirational actress and dedicated humanitarian.

Cartier claimed that in addition to Padukone's celebrity, it was drawn to her commitment to philanthropy and women's empowerment. In addition to performing and producing, Padukone is the creator of the Live Love Laugh Foundation, a group that has been working to de-stigmatize mental health concerns in India since 2015.

The action demonstrates Cartier's desire to increase its exposure to Indian consumers both at home and overseas.

A French luxury goods company known as Cartier International SNC, or just Cartier, creates, produces, markets, and sells jewellery, leather products, and watches. The company was established in 1847 in Paris by Louis-François Cartier (1819–1904), and it remained family-owned until 1964. Despite being a fully owned subsidiary of the Swiss Richemont Group, the company continues to have its headquarters in Paris. In addition to its three Temples (Historical Maisons) in London, New York, and Paris, Cartier runs more than 200 boutiques over 125 nations.

One of the most prominent jewellery producers in the world is Cartier. Currently ranked 56th on Forbes' Most Valuable Brand List as of 2021, Cartier has climbed three spots from 59th place in 2018 to that position. With a brand value of $12.2 billion, $6.2 billion in revenue, and a rise of 14% over the prior year.

Royalty purchases from Cartier have a lengthy history. Cartier was referred to be "the jeweller of kings and the king of jewellers" by King Edward VII of Great Britain. Edward VII ordered 27 tiaras for his coronation in 1902 and gave Cartier a royal warrant the following year. The courts of Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Russia, and the House of Orleans all quickly issued similar warrants.
