Axis Bank has launched the 'HouseWorkIsWork' project, which provides opportunities for those who desire to return to the workforce. The goal of this initiative is to instil confidence in these women that they are employable, that they have skills, and that they can fit into various job roles in a bank, according to Axis Bank President and Head (HR) Rajkamal Vempati in an interview about the bank's recent hiring initiative, 'HouseWorkIsWork.'
"There are many women who want to come full time, so it extends to all formats of work not only GIG-A, including women who want to come and work in branches," said the HR head of the lender.
Axis Bank's new platform for alternative work patterns, GIG-A-Opportunities, aims to recruit the best talent by promising growth through flexibility, diversity, and inclusivity.
She stated that the bank has stretched the cap to hire more people over time due to the huge response of over 3,000 resumes received.
Axis Bank will compensate new employees based on their fit for the job, skill set, and experience. The job's pay is more important, and employee perks will be comparable to those offered to regular employees, according to Vempati.
