What are some important features of your expertise as a business leader that you want us to highlight through the article?

A leader is only as good as his team. I take pride in leading from the front & managing my team of product  specialists & developers with multicultural backgrounds. It excites me to complete an impossible project with impossible timelines with a highly motivated team who defy all odds to roll out projects in time. Gaining trust of team members is through the right blend of transparency, clarity, empowerment, utilising individual strengths & COMMUNICATION. When you come from a background of engineering, you have this belief that every problem has an objective solution and that’s your staunch mindset. I believe in working with my team while navigating complex challenges and making tough decisions under pressure. How did your experience shape you as a leader?

 Having been a developer and tech lead, I can understand the perspective on the challenges faced by technical teams. My hands-on experience as a developer gives me a deep understanding of the day-to-day realities faced by my team, making me a trusted mentor and resource for finding solutions. This helps me gauge the mindset of the team and then make my decision. Additionally, my extensive experience working with multiple companies on the same project has honed my ability to think creatively when it comes to new product development. With my experience in coding and client-facing work, I bring a well-rounded skill set to my current role and am well-equipped to tackle the challenges of product development from all angles.

Introduce us to Veefin Solutions. What are the underlying ideas behind the venture?

 At Veefin, we are driven by a vision to revolutionize Supply Chain Finance and Digital Lending through the power of technology and design thinking. With a team of over 150 employees, we have garnered our expertise over a decade and have become a leading player in this space. We came into existence to address a long-standing problem in the market: there was no feasible solution for all, only big banks had the money and privilege – while tech was considered more of a luxury, and small players faced high upfront costs; making it difficult for them to provide quality services. We saw this as a major barrier to entry for the vast untapped market and set out to eliminate it. Our solution is available through SAAS pricing models, making it accessible to banks, NBFCs, fintech, and digital lending companies without the burden of high upfront costs. At Veefin, we understand the importance of being ready for tomorrow and are constantly pushing the boundaries to make Supply Chain Finance and Digital Lending more accessible and efficient for everyone.

Tell us about the various responsibilities you shoulder at Veefin Solutions. Enumerate the most critical business challenges you encounter in your current role.

As the Head of Product at Veefin Solutions, I shoulder critical responsibilities for product strategy, architecture, design, and feature enhancements. I work closely with the engineering team to ensure that the products we build meet the needs of our customers, are delivered on time, and have the right balance of quality, performance, and scalability. Ability to understand the business & commercial angle allowed me to solutionize the “Deep tier” - to be extended - module under supply Chain financing. This revolutionary product is the first in India & will allow for dynamic solutions for banks & NBFcs to expand their reach to 2nd & 3rd layer of vendors under the same anchor. Our solution is global, and it's my job to make sure that all the regulations are built into the product, and that we can accommodate the unique requirements of each client with a single code base. To overcome these challenges, I rely on collaboration and communication across teams. I encourage everyone to share their ideas and insights so that we can find the best solutions. I also stay informed about market practices and industry trends and use that knowledge to build scalable solutions that can meet the needs of our clients now and in the future.
