Women's Day: Women Tech Entrepreneurs Redefining India's Innovation Landscape

Over the years, International Women’s Day has always held a special place in every woman’s heart. This day brings women together to celebrate the essence of growth and progress they have undergone to become successful.

The Indian startup landscape is currently home to over eight million women founders, indicating the gradual shift towards a truly inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Tech has been one of the key sectors where women founders have showcased immense growth and innovation. According to recent data by data platform Tracxn, India has produced over 8000 women-founded tech-based startups so far, having raised nearly $23 billion. The report states, “Women entrepreneurs' share of startups in the Indian tech industry exceeds 18 per cent, and among funded companies the share is more than 14 per cent.”

As bellwethers of change, women tech entrepreneurs are identifying unanswered needs of the B2C & B2B space and leveraging technology to fill the gaps. From Gen AI to hospitality tech, from Fintech to Agtech, women are leaving no industries behind.
