Entrepreneurship is a dream for many, but few possess the necessary skills and gumption to make it a reality. What inspired you to pursue your entrepreneurial dream?
The turning point for me came during my career in the IT industry, where I realized that creating meaningful impact required a platform where I could shape my vision freely. A specific moment stands out: during a challenging project, I learned the value of listening and adapting, which not only resolved the issue but also inspired trust and collaboration within the team. This experience made me see the potential of genuine connections and the power of leadership driven by empathy and innovation.
My entrepreneurial journey began with this realization and a deep desire to build something that reflects my values of inclusivity, creativity, and excellence. I wanted to not only pursue my passion but also create an ecosystem where others could thrive. This drive to innovate and solve real-world problems became the cornerstone of my entrepreneurial dream.
Entrepreneurship, for me, is about more than business; it’s about building something meaningful that inspires growth for everyone involved.
The Indian startup ecosystem is thriving, but perfection is still a work in progress. What is one change you would suggest in the immediate future?
As a woman entrepreneur, the one immediate change I envision for the Indian startup ecosystem is the creation of equitable mentorship and funding opportunities tailored specifically for women-led businesses. Despite the ecosystem's growth, gender biases—whether overt or subtle—continue to hinder women entrepreneurs from reaching their full potential. Addressing these disparities requires a deliberate effort to champion diversity and foster a culture where women are seen as equal drivers of innovation.
By building networks that connect women with mentors, investors, and industry leaders, and by designing funding programs that prioritize inclusivity, we can empower women entrepreneurs to thrive. This shift wouldn’t just benefit individuals—it would catalyze transformative growth for the entire ecosystem.
