In the conversation with Keerthana, Correspondent, women Entrepreneur Magazine. Anuradha Gupta, cofounder and CEO at Amantya Technologies, Inc shares her views on the key opportunities and benefits that 5G brings to businesses across various industries and also, she shares about the role of technology companies in this rapidly evolving technological landscape.

What according to you would be the next big thing in the technology arena? What are the latest emerging technology trends?

The tech domain is among the most dynamic and constantly evolving, with new pathbreaking trends emerging rapidly. Therefore, one must always stay updated and on top of one's game and continuously monitor and adapt to stay ahead in this rapidly changing landscape.

Some current trends shaping the technology industry include the continuing advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) and their applications across industries. These enable automation, data analytics, and personalized user experiences and drive the development of AI-powered applications and systems. As the IoT ecosystem evolves, we can expect increased connectivity and integration across various domains. Edge computing is another big thing. This trend is driven by the need for real-time data processing, reduced latency, improved privacy, and enhanced reliability, especially in applications like IoT devices, autonomous vehicles, and smart cities and grids.

Finally, 5G and enhanced connectivity is the most phenomenal and transformative technology of current times. The rollout of 5G networks, solutions, and applications is revolutionizing communication and connectivity. With faster speeds, increased capacity, and lower latency, 5G will facilitate, rather accelerate, the growth of all the above-mentioned emerging technologies like AI ML, AR, VR, autonomous vehicles, IoT, etc.

Here I would like to highlight the importance of customer-centric innovation and the significance of focusing on customer needs and preferences when considering these trends. We must leverage them to develop innovative solutions that address customer pain points, enhance user experience and deliver value. It's equally critical for an organization to be agile, informed, responsive to change, and open to experimentation and collaboration to stay at the forefront of innovation.

In your opinion, what are the key opportunities and benefits that 5G brings to businesses across various industries? How can companies leverage this technology to drive innovation and growth?

5G promises much more than faster network speeds, less downtime, or increased capacities. It is a real and exciting opportunity for businesses to embark on digital transformation at scale. Powering advancements in allied technologies like AI ML, AR VR, Data Analytics, Robotics, V2X, edge Computing, etc., 5G will change how business is done or even how entire industries operate. The benefits apply across industries, and we are already witnessing early opportunities in some first-mover industries like manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, venues, hospitality, and transportation. Be prepared for 5G to be present in every aspect of business operations. It will foster the growth of ecosystems where businesses will collaborate with technology providers, startups, and research institutes to explore and develop new use cases and applications.

However, this transformation will not happen overnight or be as simple as switching to a new network provider. Forward-thinking leaders must capitalize 5G’s inherent opportunities by laying the groundwork at the right pace for their organization. They must include 5G in their budget as they will need 5G-ready equipment on hand and ready to go. Also, Enterprise 5G is a cutting-edge solution that speeds up 5G deployment and transforms businesses. Advanced 5G innovations such as these will go a long way in fostering a culture of innovation and agility and adapting to the evolving landscape of 5G-enabled opportunities.

What role does collaboration with other stakeholders in the 5G ecosystem, such as telecom operators, device manufacturers, and industry associations playin fostering the adoption of 5G technology?

5G is transformative and far-reaching. Collaboration with various stakeholders in the 5G ecosystem, including telecom operators, device manufacturers, independent software vendors, and industry associations, plays a crucial role in fostering technology adoption and being future-ready.

These collaborations bring together expertise, resources, and perspectives to accelerate the adoption of 5G and unlock its potential. It enables robust infrastructure development, ensures interoperability, stimulates device innovation, supports industry-specific applications, and promotes awareness and education. By working together, the stakeholders can overcome technical, operational, and regulatory challenges, enabling widespread deployment and utilization of 5G networks and services. Amantya, as a key player in the 5G landscape, recognizes the importance of collaboration with various stakeholders to drive the adoption and advancement of 5G technology.

Looking ahead, what are your predictions for the future of 5G and its potential applications in India? How do you envision the role of technology companies in this rapidly evolving technological landscape?

5G will be a gamechanger and catalyst to propel the vision of 'Digital India.' It has the potential to change the country's socioeconomic fabric and transform society at large. 5G will play a critical role in achieving India's digital inclusion goals, especially in bringing broadband to rural and remote areas, which, in turn, will spawn a multitude of new avenues of economic growth. 5G will transform the Indian economy by bringing multi-dimensional growth across different industries and verticals. 5G will improve access to education and the quality of virtual learning. It will lead to more job creation, bolster the startup ecosystem, enable India to be a research and development hub for 5G technology, and maximize India's contribution to the global value chain by focusing on domestic production via the GoI's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative and increasing exports.

Technology companies will be vital in accelerating India's 5G ecosystem. They have the expertise, resources, and innovation capabilities, making their involvement critical in shaping the future of 5G in India and unlocking its true transformative potential.

As a founder in the tech industry, what advice do you have for aspiring women entrepreneurs who are looking to make their mark in the technology sector?

The last few years have been remarkable for the technology startup ecosystem, and women are emerging as the key enablers. As more and more women are leading startups, be it in healthcare, education, eCommerce, or consumer tech, the world is finally witnessing the true potential of women power. However, as we know, startups are no child's play, and we have enormous pressure as leaders. My learnings from being a woman techpreneur are that, first and foremost, get your reasons right for choosing entrepreneurship. Second, and equally important, always look at the bigger picture and take charge. Trust your instincts and your abilities, and at the same time, be open to learning from others and respect differences in opinion. Thirdly, collaborate. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of working with people who echo your passion and commitment. Success cannot be achieved overnight, so stay Passionate, Patient, and Perseverant. And lastly, remember to celebrate the small wins and learn from failures and challenges. It's all part of the game.
