In the recently released 2022's Forbes list of the richest people, nine Indian women have been featured. Savitri Jindal and her family are the highest ranked Indian women billionaires on the Forbes list
The American business magazine Forbes published its list of India's 100 wealthiest persons for the year 2022, entitled "The rupee may be weaker, but the rich are richer." According to the research, India's post-pandemic demand resurgence has propelled the country's economy to the fifth-largest in the world, surpassing the United Kingdom.
The combined wealth of the top 10 richest people is $385 billion, with the richest person in India having a net worth of $150 billion. Nine Indian women are included on the list as well, with the richest lady in India having a net worth of $16.4 billion. Savitri Jindal, the chairwoman of the Jindal Group, was recognised as the richest woman in India on the Forbes Billionaire's list 2022, while GautamAdani, the chairman of the Adani Group, topped Forbes India's 100 richest list in 2022.
The list includes Falguni Nayar of Nykaa, who is ranked 44th overall and has a net worth of $4.8 billion. According to the Forbes list, the majority of the women billionaires on the global list come from the industrial sector.

Savitri Jindal

Anu Aga
Anu Aga, an Indian entrepreneur and social activist with a net worth of $2.23 billion, served as head of Thermax, a company that provides energy and environmental engineering, from 1996 until 2004. She assumed leadership of Thermax following the death of her husband, Rohinton Aga. She retired in 2004 and was followed by MeherPudumjee, her daughter and vice-chairwoman of the business. Anu continues to serve on the board of directors of the business today and is active in social work.
