Scientific Temperament is Key as it Helps Women Challenge Existing Stereotypes & Make Informed Decisions

A scientific mindset is a strong characteristic to have. It enables an individual to analyse facts and make better and more informed decisions. When it comes to women, it plays an even more significant role as it helps to challenge existing stereotypes and make informed decisions in everyday life. As the demand for skilled professionals in science and technology continues to grow, developing a scientific mindset can open diverse career opportunities for women, enhancing their economic independence and contributions to society. Education also plays a crucial role, and by encouraging participation in science-based subjects in schools and higher education, it can establish a strong foundation for young women wanting to pursue a career in science-related fields.

Your STEM Inspiration

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has been my inspiration. Dr. Kalam's emphasis on education and his encouragement of young people, especially women, to pursue science and technology have inspired countless individuals. His vision for India's future in science and technology has motivated many women to enter STEM fields.

This year’s theme for National Science Day is ‘Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for VIKSIT Bharat.’
