Amanpreet Kaur is the CEO of Wahenoor Gems, a local brand known for globally delivering high-quality precious gemstones. What are your views on the gemstone industry and its future outlook?

In my opinion, the gemstone industry has a promising future outlook, especially with the rising trend of customization. As customers become more conscious of their individual styles and preferences, offering personalized gemstone products can set companies apart in the market.

To further accelerate this growth, eBay has launched a Global AG program in partnership with GIA, the leading expert in the industry for diamond grading. Jewelry has always been a popular category in the marketplace, and its growth shows how consumer demand is only increasing. Indian sellers can leverage their expertise in these areas to increase their sales on eBay's platform. Overall, the gemstone industry has the potential to thrive as long as companies adapt to changing customer preferences and continue to prioritize quality and customization.

According to you, what are the branding strategy factors used by successful female entrepreneurs to achieve higher revenue and make a bigger positive impact in the world.

Many successful female entrepreneurs have utilized social media marketing to reach a broader audience and engage with customers. I believe that focusing on delivering high-quality products and services that meet the needs of customers has helped establish a loyal customer base and increased revenue. By protecting my intellectual property rights, I can create a distinct brand identity that resonates with my customers.

Marketing partnerships and marketplaces like eBay have also played a crucial role in increasing my visibility and expanding my customer base. Overall, a combination of branding strategy factors, including social media marketing, focus on work, copyright claims, and marketing partnerships, can help me achieve higher revenue and make a positive impact in the world.

What traits do successful female business owners possess, and how can they use adaptability to their advantage?

In general, entrepreneurs need to be extremely dedicated to their businesses. I think focus is an invaluable trait as it helps to stay on top of everything and get work done. Here, spouses and families play a huge role in supporting one another’s goals and ambitions in life. A lot of successful female entrepreneurs have resilience and a growth mindset that’s needed to sustain a business once it’s started. Owning a business always comes with its own set of uncertainties and challenges, being adaptable will help any business owner thrive in the long run.

How do you stay up to date with current marketing trends and knowledge?

We do our own market analysis to stay on top of marketing trends. For instance, we believe there’s a huge untapped potential in selling authenticated diamonds. We mainly import designs from Thailand as their gemstones export business is not very profitable due to the language barrier. Apart from that, eBay also helps us determine the right products to list on the platform. They have assigned us an account manager who helps us keep track of the top selling items and market our products in alignment with the growing demand of that particular item.
