Influential women entrepreneurs like Kalpana Saroj, Chairperson of Kamani Tubes, and Falguni Nayar, Founder of Nykaa foster inclusive work environments by contributing to the country's industrial growth. Such women leaders in technology, healthcare, fashion, and consumer goods, promote the initiative to inculcate innovation, quality, and self-sufficiency.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) reported a significant growth in women-led startups in the top 3 D2C sectors including Personal and Home Care, Food and Beverages, and Fashion is 3644 accounting for 52 per cent of all startups. The report further stated that women-led startups in key D2C sectors have grown over 2700 per cent from 130 in 2017 to 3644 in May 2023, with 33 per cent emerging during COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021.
