Another study by Boivin et al.'s large population survey found varying rates i.e. 3.5 per cent to 16.7 per cent in developed and 6.9 per cent to 9.3 per cent in less-developed nations that included women aged 20-44 and married or living in a consensual union. The emotional toll of infertility is significant, with many women experiencing depression, anxiety, and marital stress.
