Mamata Banerjee – Chief Minister (WB)

Since May 2011, Mamata Banerjee, a politician from India, has held the position of West Bengal's eighth and current ruling chief minister. She is the first female leader serving in this role. In addition, she founded the All India Trinamool Congress and serves as its chair (AITC).

In the Indian government, Mamta Banerjee has occupied several posts, including those of Minister of Mines, Minister of Railways, and Minister of Coal. From 1991 to 2011, she was also a member of the Lok Sabha.
