Preethi Pal won the first Indian Paralympic medal in track events, securing a bronze medal in the women's 100m T35 class and another bronze medal at the 200m mixed event with Harvinder Singh at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, despite having coordination impairments such as hypertonia, ataxia, and athetosis.
She made a personal best record of 14.21 seconds at 100m and 30.01 seconds at 200m respectively.
Rubina Francis won a bronze medal in the Women's 10m Air Pistol SH1 event at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. She faced tough competition from Iran's Sareh Javanmardi and Turkey's Aysel Ozgan.
She performed steadily in the final, briefly holding the silver medals position before setting for bronze due to lower scores in her final shots, she recorded a final score of 211.1.
