10 Female Politicians Who Won Big in LS Polls 2024

Varsha Eknath Gaikwad (INC)
In a tough political battle with BJP’s Ujwal Nikam, Varsha Eknath Gaikwad has won the polls with 445545 with a margin of 16,514, representing Indian National Congress from Mumbai North Central constituency (Maharashtra). She has also served as the Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra from 2019 to 2022 and currently, the president of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee. In addition, Varsha is also a four-time MLA (Maharashtra Legislative Assembly) from Dharavi Assembly Constituency where she served from 2004 to 2019.
Dimple Yadav (SP)
Representing Samajwadi Party from Mainpuri constituency (Uttar Pradesh), Dimple Yadav triumphed in LS Polls against BJP’s Jayveer Singh by 5,98,526 votes, having a margin of 2,21,639. In the past, after her father-in-law, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s demise, Dimple filled the unoccupied seat of Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency by winning 2.8 lakh votes. During her political career, she has been in power for 4 times i.e., from 2012 to 2014 as MP in 15th Lok Sabha by-poll from Kannauj and then from 2014 to 2019 acquiring the same position; from 2022 to 2024 as MP in 17th Lok Sabha by-poll from Mainpuri and again the 4th term in 2024 with the same.
