What are the various responsibilities you shoulder as the Chief Legal Officer for JNT Consultancy & Service? What are your primary focus areas in your current role?

As JNT Consultancy & Services’ CLO, I am responsible for the legal matters of the company, which includes providing legal counsel to the Board of Managers and supervising legal tasks within the company. At the same time, I take charge of one of JNT’s key business functions, which is providing legal services mostly to growing businesses in the Blockchain sector. I direct the research and development of legal service packages and together with my team, consult with our clients, who seek support mainly in the areas such as IP (Intellectual Properties), Corporate and investment legal services, and legal matters in Blockchain.

Tell us about the various challenges you face in your current role. What steps do you take to overcome the roadblocks that you face?

One of the most important challenges I face doing dual roles as both a legal advisor and a businessperson is to constantly look for unaddressed demands and design the best-fit solutions to add value to our client's businesses as well as to society. I find it immensely challenging yet meaningful working in such a fast-changing area, as the frequency and sometimes unprecedentedly changing legal landscape requires us, practitioners, to constantly adapt or take one step ahead. The unclear legal status of virtual currency, which is our area of focus, on the one hand, provides plenty of growth opportunities for industry participants, while on the other hand, presents many uncertainties that should come to the attention of legal advisors.

What are some of the most significant milestones you have achieved as a professional so far? What has been your success mantra?

I and the JNT team, have successfully supported Projects to raise capital, and the most recent successful deal was to raise 200 million USD for a blockchain-based product and 350 million USD for a non-blockchain product during 2020-2022 are some of the significant milestones I have achieved. We then went on to help several other Blockchain, as well as non-Blockchain projects, gain access to venture capital funds. Milestones are important, but it is the continuous, small improvements that our team and I work hard to achieve in every new project that has remained the most memorable to me. At JNT, we enter every new project with a mindset of doing better than ourselves the day before. Over the years, we have been helping new businesses get ready for fundraising and seeing more and more clients coming back to thank us is by far the best reward.

What would be your advice to young women who also aspire to become business leaders and entrepreneurs in the future?

Each person chooses their own path to success.I  truly believe success is not a matter of choice, but the attitude towards that choice. I never had a CLO dream when I was a kid, but when I had a job in legal, I started to think of it as a career and give my all to it. Success does not always come alone, and it holds for me at least. Teaming up with people who share your vision will motivate you and unleash your inner potential in the most desirable way.
