Johnsi has a track record of being associated with tech as a Programmer and Project Lead for 14 years. Post which, she switched to a career in UI/UX design. Tell us about the most difficult aspects of being an entrepreneur in the UI/UX space. What steps do you undertake to overcome these roadblocks?

As a firm focused on providing rich user experience, the common struggles come with balancing client demands and design aesthetics. The pressure to deliver top-quality work while meeting a client's expectations can be a delicate dance. Oftentimes, clients approach us with little understanding of what they require. We present in front of them various options and do a lot of research on the companies to help them understand their expectations and ensure that we deliver the best possible design solutions for them. To overcome this challenge, we focus on strategically communicating with our clients and balancing client feedback with our design expertise and experience. A constant flow of new technologies and design trends is present in the UX and product design fields. To stay relevant in this industry, we keep up with these changes to be able to offer newer ideas to our clients.

How has Share Point Designs’ growth journey been so far? What is your vision for the company’s next growth stage?

It has been an exciting and rewarding journey. But the growth did not come easy. There were times when we did not have a single client but even through the challenges, we kept our portfolio growing across different industries and geographical locations. The main challenge that we faced was after the pandemic when we were uncertain whether we would get enough projects to sustain our employees. As companies adapted the remote working system which turned out to be an advantage for us. Companies across the globe started to develop and customize their intranet portals to increase communication and collaboration among their employees who are working from remote locations. With this change, we got flooded with a lot of requests from companies for the customization, and implementation of intranet solutions which helped us spike our growth. Today we are focused on developing intranets and other Microsoft tools and products for our clients and are also using Power Automate to develop automation tools, power apps, and power virtual agents.

So far, the growth has been great for us. But we really need to wait and see how the AI revolution is going to impact us. We cannot predict the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sail and we can still get to our destination. That is the approach we are following and aspire to be the pioneer in effectively using the AI tools for our customers.

What would be your advice for women who aspire to become entrepreneurs or business leaders?

During the start of my career, I remember being extremely hard on myself under the pressure of being a perfectionist in all my endeavors. But with time I realized that it is equally important to be kind to yourself. Self-kindness creates empathy and understanding within oneself. I also believe, women must spend time resting and recharging themselves. There is a saying that ‘you cannot pour from an empty cup’. Hence, you must fill yourself in before you serve others.
