What are some of the important facets of your expertise as a senior physiotherapist?

At Atlas, I work under the aegis of Dr.Prathap Addageethala, our director, and here I handle the entire physio department. I come with experience of more than 6 years of working in the realm of sports and rehabilitation. I have worked with the Indian Women’s Cricket team and continue to serve elite athletes across the country. This apart, I’m a certified pilates on the mat level 1 trainer and a certified pilates trainer for post-natal women. An active member in the field of research (sports rehabilitation) and have published my work in the "International Journal of sports science".

What prompted your foray into healthcare, especially physiotherapy?

My inclination towards fitness and interest in healthcare made me read a lot of books related to fitness and the human body. I was really fascinated by conservative management and treating people without surgery or medication. Of course, physiotherapy is the best way to deal with pain, that’s what propelled my engrossment towards the domain. Apart from this, my extroverted and compassionate personality that loves interacting with people, made me feel that this career is the best fit.

In a wider perspective, 99% of the clients come to us with pain, and I think pain is one of the effective mediums through which we can connect people easily. I really enjoy that connection and communication. The best part of the profession is that we can help people gain their functions back.

Committed to providing first-class physiotherapy, we offer innovative and personalized services along with hand-held counseling and guidance to the patients. We ensure that the patient responds to the therapy and transforms their health, well-being, and helps them with a physically active and quality life.

Tell us about your work philosophy and leadership style that have helped you cement the firm’s position in the market?

I work with a vision to render ultimate fool proof evidence-based and informed physiotherapy & rehabilitation services. I strive to treat a condition without medication or surgery, and I am more concerned about quality & standard of care, patient health, cost-effectiveness, and time management. My ultimate service philosophy is to make the patients heal independently. We meet a client just for 3-4 hours a week, and the rest of the healing should happen when they are at home; we prep them for the same.

Speaking of leadership style, I emphasize clear communication with the board and the clients as well. The most important aspect is to be polite and considerate and I ensure that the entire team understands the patient’s problem. Ethics, discipline, and staying updated are something that I follow and expect the same from my team members.
