Could you please provide more details about your educational background and previous industry experience that you possess?

I have completed my Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Arts (MA), and Doctorate degree in ‘Managing Learning Disabilities using Technology’. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently excelled in my studies and continued to pursue higher education until I achieved  my PhD. My doctoral research focused on conducting a thorough case study of 300 students with learning disabilities. With a solid background in education, I have accumulated 25 years of experience, including roles as a teacher, school supervisor, principal, and director. Currently, I hold the position of Dean at Podar World College, collaborating closely with the London School of Economics. Additionally, I have been involved in school inspections for the UAE Ministry and have served on various school boards. Evaluating schools for organizations such as CIS and IB, I possess substantial expertise in assessing teaching and learning methods, as well as driving school improvement. I strongly believe in engaging parents as partners in education and value their active involvement in their children's educational journey.

In what ways does your previous work experience enhance your abilities as a proficient business leader and educator in the present?

As an educator, I prioritize continuous learning and professional development. I actively seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field. For instance, I recently attended a conference in Orlando - USA, focusing on the impact of data analysis on student achievement. I firmly believe in the importance of ongoing professional growth at every stage of my career. Technology has played a significant role in education, and I have adapted to its evolution, starting from computers to laptops, interactive boards, iPads, and now embracing cloud computing, Microsoft Teams, and AI (Artificial Intelligence). I recognize the significance of student well-being and fostering a growth mindset among them. Our school places a strong emphasis on ensuring the well-being of students, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs. Additionally, I acknowledge the crucial connection between teachers' well-being and student well-being which affects the learning journey.

Provide an introduction to Podar International School and explain the underlying concept that drives this educational institution.

Podar International School is a well-established educational institution with an extensive presence of 122 schools throughout the country. It offers a comprehensive range of curricula, including the local Indian curriculum, national curriculum (ICSE and CBSE), IB curriculum, and Cambridge curriculum. One of the key principles of the institution is inclusivity, providing equal opportunities to students from all backgrounds, irrespective of caste, creed, or ability. At our specific branch, Podar International School, we specialize in delivering IBPYP, IGCSE, IBDP, and A-levels, and recently introduced IBCP programs. With a rich history of over 20 years in providing IB education, our school serves a diverse student population of around 2000 students. Our school is known for its diverse community, exceptional academic achievements, and high success rates with students consistently attaining A* in IGCSE, A levels and perfect score of 45 in IBDP.

Could you please share your key responsibilities as the Founder of Podar International School and your primary focus areas in driving student learning?

As the Founder of Podar International School, my primary focus is on fostering student happiness. This involves ensuring the continuous delivery of highquality teaching and learning, conducting effective assessments, and prioritizing student well-being. I actively collaborate with international boards and oversee parent orientations and inductions to promote their active involvement in their children's education. Additionally, I play a crucial role in teacher training and maintain regular communication with the governing board and school owners, providing comprehensive reports on school operations. In a nutshell my responsibilities encompass overseeing various aspects of the school to create a positive and nurturing learning environment and thereby continuously raising the standard of the school.

What are your top three professional milestones and what has been your key to success?

I have been awarded Honorary Fellowships by University of London for ‘significant achievement and distinction, who have made an outstanding contribution to the University’s reputation, mission or objects over a period of time’. I have received prestigious accolades such as the Rajya Puraskar Award by Maharashtra State Government and a Prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award from the House of Lords in the UK. Additionally, I have been honoured with several awards recognizing my excellence in the field of education. The key to my success lies in my unwavering passion and love for what I do. I am fully dedicated and committed to my profession and the school. Alongside this commitment, I believe that having a well-defined strategic plan and clear intent is vital for achieving success. By adhering to this mantra, and my “never say die” attitude I have been able to accomplish significant milestones in my career and will continue to strive for attaining the best for Podar.
