What Incited You To Establish A Brand Focused On Advertising? Throw Some Light On The Ideation Of Berry Ads And Branding.

The Choice of Industry was pretty simple, I always wanted to work in advertising, so went ahead to pursue my masters in the same (MBA - Media Management) from Amity University, Noida, and ended up getting a silver medal and an award for “The Best in Business Acumen.” I always wanted to be an entrepreneur but took up some job to get some insight into the industry, that's when I started noticing more opportunities while I was in my first job in an agency in the role of Client Servicing and Account Planning executive. I noticed that all the clients wanted was ROI which traditional agency models were not able to quantify. That rekindled my desire to have my business setup, to provide advertising, branding & digital marketing services purely based on ROI - be it visibility or revenue generation.

I teamed up with the other co-founders D Venkat Reddy (currently our Director) & Rohit Reddy (technical head) who not just funded the idea but also come with robust experience in the fields of Marketing & technology. I also received immense support and technical insight from my husband P. Pranav Reddy which helped me build this tech-driven start-up.

Tell Some Interesting Factors About Berry Branding.

We are a 360-degree marketing & advertising agency providing branding solutions to clients but here is the twist that we go that extra mile to ensure the results are quantified for the clients. For instance, agencies typically take up promotions & lead generation, but at Berry, we also have the provision of calling these leads and closing the sale.

Society Today Is Witnessing The Evolution Of Women's Entrepreneurship. What Is Your Perspective Towards It?

I feel this was long due, but better late than never. It makes me happy to see women not just get out of their homes and work but also take up entrepreneurial ventures. More than 40 percent of the population is women and if even a fraction of them take up entrepreneurship then imagine the volume of employment opportunities that can be created, the push that can generate for economic development excites me.

Being a woman in business, however, comes with its drawbacks. I still do come across people who decide capabilities based on gender & age, although that is reducing and we are heading towards a more open community, slowly but steadily.

We have a wonderful team at Berry, it's very rewarding to have a team that has a sense of ownership of their work. This ensures the workflows on smoothly. Also, our employees are always excited to take up challenging work and learn something new. Regular skill development workshops are organized for them to feed their creative appetite.

The work culture is unique. We do not have too many boundaries as to who works on what. All the employees are encouraged to learn different skill sets and use them to benefit the clients. We believe that the freshness of the idea is vital for an agency to stay relevant in the long term, and confiding our resources to a single stream of thought/ work does not help. We have a very informal vibe at work. There is a work hard, party harder policy that we follow. While we are at work, we are totally consumed by it. While we are partying we hardly think about work, the idea is to ensure the team looks forward to coming to work without feeling burned out.
