In the past few years, UAE has enhanced in the ranking in global gender equality report. Dubai is the developed place in the UAE. It is a very safe country for women and has much more liberal lifestyle for women then other countries in the Middle East. The promotion and encouragement of women empowerment was evidently visible in the vocation of Dubai Expo 2020, it has over 150 events lined-up to highlight the contributions made by women and push the agenda of women empowerment.

Today, women in emirates of UAE occupy prominent position at the country's political, economic, business, and social establishments. There is an inclusive and stimulating working environment for women in both public and private sectors. There are 30 percent of women executives in the decision making position. They are not backward in the business, entrepreneurship and technology sectors. The percentage of women in technology sector in Dubai is greater than international average. But in Dubai, private sector leadership roles women face similar hurdles they face all over the world like glass ceiling effect.
