According to a research revealed by Hay Group division of Korn Ferry, women outperform men in 11-12 of the key emotional intelligence areas. Women score higher than men on nearly all emotional intelligence competencies, except emotional self-control, where no gender differences are observed. This indirectly says the reason behind another research revealed a few months ago, which says that organizations with women in boardroom position proved to be more profitable than that of other organizations. Other than emotional intelligence, women also outperforms men in other competencies like coaching & mentoring, influence, inspirational leadership, conflict management, organizational awareness, adaptability, teamwork and achievement orientation.
