Naturally contemplated to be curious and brilliant humans, women have been bringing their skills to the table. Over the years, breaking stereotypes and pursuing their dreams, they have made ground-breaking discoveries in their fields. But somehow the world still doesn’t look them at them as strong parts of the economy. Though women make up half of the workforce, they are frequently underrepresented in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields. According to the Society of Women Engineers, the percentage of women among the engineering qualifying graduates is 20 percent, while only 11 percent of the them show up as Engineering professionals in the job sector. However, as a new generation of promising Women graduates in Engineering get ready to domineer the workplace opening up to the challenges put forth, there’s expected to be slow but significant growth in these numbers.

Many early female engineers became technical educators.

Not only this, several CEG graduates have also became principals of women’s polytechnics and also principals of architecture colleges. Right from Nandini Ramani, Vice President of Engineering at Twitter, to Muthumari S, Director- Data Science at Brillio, to Anu Mangaly, Principal Engineer at NetApp India, to Komal Mangtani, Head of Data intelligence at Uber, and many more, the list keeps adding on.
