Top 10 Women Chief Business Officer - 2021
Women have always been to business in both rural and urban India. We could see a number of women doing small business in our country. But women owning or founding a company or institution is something which is breaking stereotypes in our country. Our community still haven't grown to that level of confidence, where they think a big institution or company is safe in the hands of women. This is evident from the statistics of females who are at leading positions in Indian companies. Globally, India ranks third among countries reporting gender gaps in business. But the statistics shows that, even though slowly, the outlook towards women is changing in Indian business. The percentage of women in senior management in India stood at 39 percent which is more than the global average of 31 percent.
Indian business is opening new opportunities for women for their growth. More women are taking leadership roles and starting their own business which are not small or just one room business. Traditionally they were considered incapable to make decisions, lead, manage and develop skills in production. With the change in thoughts the roles taken by the women are also changing.
Many women are heading for the position of chief business officer today. The Chief Business Officer is a major contributor in the strategic development and shaping the success of the organisation. CBO will be responsible for all operational aspects of the company, including corporate and business development activities, strategic planning, budget development and control, commercial input into clinical development, as well as support investor relationships and fundraising.
