Women CFOs Leading by Example Women of 21st-century: The evolution of business and economy has prompted a powerful sense of the leadership stint inside the leaders across the corporate world, and rising up to the challenges the senior C-suite leaders are dynamically spearheading the companies today. And, no deny to the fact that women too have a fair share within this agile workforce. With a richer mix of perspectives and life experiences, keeping up with the changing trends and technology, these women leaders have magnanimously responded to threats and opportunities with a wider imagination around possibilities, be it any role and have proved their dexterity.

Dynamic Women Contributors: Fueled by a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit, robust technological knowhow, and apt skills the women workforce of 21st century knows no limit. Equipped with a willingness to take up tasks that were considered as men’s business before, they are constantly breaking the gender stereotypes and social bias. With equal rights and access to education they are openly venturing into the fields they want to operate on and leading by performance, results and example. With such dynamic entrepreneurial spirit they are embracing every role in the corporate and CFO role is no different. However, when leadership is concerned roles women accounts a very small portion. As per a survey the percentage of CFOs who are women hit an alltime high last year, and the number of female CFOs has almost doubled over the past 10 years. Women made up 16 percent of CFOs last year out of which Retail with most female CFOs at 19 percent, followed by consumer goods at 15 percent. Finance and healthcare were tied at 8 percent. Also, the total number of women CFOs is up from 6.3 percent when compared to 2004.
