India has produced a number of renowned leaders, both male and female. Female leaders in India have a wide range of personalities, and their contributions to education, politics, women's empowerment, and social welfare are neither curtailed nor ignored. In the last 50 years, Indian women have gone a long way. At a time when women are hitting the bull's-eye on the stock exchanges and becoming billionaires, Indian enterprises are getting a much-needed female viewpoint. Women are increasingly taking risks in order to celebrate entrepreneurial ideas and advance to become successful businesswomen in an atmosphere traditionally controlled by males. Despite tremendous progress in gender equality, women in the research and academic sectors continue to face a number of challenges.

Mumbai has seen a rapid surge in female leadership over the previous decade, with several women joining the ranks of top executives. When compared to previous generations, there has been a significant shift in how young women approach leadership.  They are self-assured, ambitious, and enthusiastic about their work. Women are not only taking on increasing leadership roles, but they are also developing novel solutions. Furthermore, Covid-19 has influenced individuals to think in terms of 'disruption,' and women have demonstrated agility and adapt-ability in the face of change by embracing digital and leveraging it to support corporate and small company success. Women in India, who make up half of the country's 1.4 billion population, have enormous economic potential. As more Mumbai women assume leadership and entrepreneurship roles, the world is becoming accustomed to witnessing women leaders and their success stories, as well as recognising their significance in today's economy.
