Gujarat is one of the leading indtrialized states in India, followed by a significant agricultural production. There are 13 major indtry groups that together account for around 82.05 percent of total factories, 95.85 percent of total fixed capital investment, 90.09 percent of the value of output and 93.21 percent of value addition in Gujarat's indtrial economy. In 2022, Gujarat was the highest exporting state in India, with exports worth $126.8 billion, and it is also the state with the highest installed renewable energy capacity (44.44 GW). Moreover, as the state has over 3,300 pharmaceutical manufacturing units, which contributed 30-35 percent to India's pharma sector's turnover and around 28 percent to India's pharma export during 2018-19, the growth is dynamic today. Export of drug formulations from Gujarat reached $3,719.97 million in 2021 and $2,824.55 million in 2022 (until January 2022).

In 2019-20, the state produced 4.6 million tonnes of petroleum (crude) and 1,287 million cubic metres of natural gas. Total consumption of petroleum products stood at 22.53 million metric tonnes (MMT) in 2019-20. Petroleum product exports from Gujarat stood at $36.92 billion in 2022 (until January 2022).With such rates, the state is doing explicitly well in diverse industries and likewise corpo-rate.
