Whereabouts

The establishment of IIMs in India was envisioned and incorporated by India’s very first PM, honorable Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji. IIM Lucknow is the 4th member of IIM family to be adopted in India in the year of 1984 followed by IIM Calcutta, Ahmedabad and Bangalore respectively. Situated in a city known for its cultural heritage, the campus is spread over more than 190 acres of stunning landscaped area. With its foundation in the city of ‘Tehzeeb’, IIM Lucknow inculcates human values and professional ethics in its students to help them make a positive impact not just nationwide but globally. Today the institute undertakes a diverse range of academic activities aimed at creation, dissemination and application of management knowledge and practice and creating an ideal setup conducive to learning, accessibility and excellence.

Achievements so far

As a source of knowledge and expertise for the society and a preferred destination for potential learners, it has bagged many awards and recognition both in terms of national and international level. According to the IIRF Rankings 2023, IIM Lucknow has been ranked 4th. According to NIRF 2022 ranking, IIM Lucknow, is at the 6th position. Outlook ICARE India places it at the fourth position in the rank list category of the year 2022. The international rankings of QS Global place IIM Lucknow in the prestigious rank list of 150-200. The Economic Times listed it in the 8th position among management institutes of the country. With these unmatched achievements it has created a highly influential and active network of alumni across the globe. These leaders are making a huge impact in all sectors of society and accentuating economy, both in India and abroad.
