  • XLRI lowered XAT 2025 cut-offs for BM and HRM programs to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Revised cut-offs vary by program, with adjustments for male candidates and specialized courses.
  • The changes reflect XLRI’s commitment to diversity, equity, and preparing future leaders.

To promote diversity and inclusion, XLRI has lowered the XAT 2025 cut-off for its Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) programs. This adjustment, aimed at women and underprivileged candidates, reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to offering opportunities to a broader range of applicants at this premier B-school in India.

XLRI announced reduced cut-offs on January 27, 2025, to encourage gender diversity and ensure equal leadership opportunities for women in business. This follows the XAT 2025 results declared on January 17. The cut-off adjustment reflects XLRI's commitment to promoting diversity in the Indian management sector.

REVISED CUT-OFFS FOR 2025

For the BM program, the cut-off is set at the 96th percentile for male candidates and the 91st percentile for women. In the HRM program, male candidates with an engineering background need a 95th percentile, while non-engineering males need 93. Three interview rounds have been conducted based on GMAT scores, with another scheduled for February.

Cut-offs for specializations like Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV) and the Double Master's Programme at Rutgers University will vary based on each program's goals and requirements. The admission process will be tailored to align with these programs' unique objectives.

Several factors are involved in determining the XAT cut-offs for admission to XLRI.

These essentially include:

Higher participation may increase the number of applicants, leading to more cut-offs.

Difficult exams can result in lower raw scores at higher percentiles as the questions asked may be very challenging.

Low seats may ensure cut-off percentages at a relatively high level.

For 2025-2026, XLRI would shortlist 4,000-4,500 candidates for the interviews.

XLRI’s recalibrated cut-off policies reaffirm its commitment to fostering diversity and equity, preparing leaders to tackle the multifaceted challenges of the modern business world.
