Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar mentioned some derogatory statements in the Assembly about the Importance of women's education in population control. Due to this, the National Commission for Women (NCW) said it "vehemently condemns" and demanded an apology for this.
Bihar's Chief Minister highlighted the role of education in population control, describing how educated women can restrain husbands during sexual intercourse, condemning recent statements in the Vidhan Sabha.
The NCW tweeted on X that, these kinds of remarks are against women's rights and choices. They are not regressive but highly insensitive due to which he should provide an apology to women all over the country.
Rekha Sharma, NCW Chairperson, has urged the Bihar Chief Minister for an unwavering immediate apology for husband crass remarks in the Vidhan Sabha, addressing women's dignity and respect.
She further criticizes the leader's derogatory language and open comments in a democracy and calls for accountability, stating that such behavior would cause immense suffering for the state.
