Daggubati Purandeswari, former Union Minister and BJP national general secretary inaugurated ‘Akkineni Women’s Hospital’ in Vijayawada on Sunday. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony she said that several women face critical health challenges due to lack of awareness on the importance of early diagnosis.
Purandeswari also explained that most women tend to approach doctors only when their health issues reach critical stages. Owing to this women face difficulties later.
Speaking about the importance of early diagnosis, she said, “There are a lot of advanced tests and treatments that can identify disease at an early stage and offer a cure. Women should use them.”
Purandeswari also said words of appreciation for the hospital management and their efforts to establish an exclusive healthcare facility for women.
Speaking at the momentous occasion, Hospital chairperson Akkineni Mani mentioned that the hospital offers health services in obstetrics and gynaecology, reproductive medicine, dermatology and cosmetology, radiology, general medicine, medical gastroenterology, paediatrics and neonatology, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, critical care, Ayurveda and others.
The Akkineni Women’s Hospital will also provide healthcare services through virtual consultation services.
Dr. Mani mentioned that the hospital was established with the inspiration given by her late husband, noted doctor Akkineni Sudarshan Rao.
