The people of the Dindori district were praised on Thursday by the Chief Minister of Madya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the support shown to their daughters. On Thursday 25 May 2023, a women's conference was organized in the district of Dindori where CM Shivraj Chouhan himself participated and inaugurated a number of development projects after the Bhumi Pujan.
CM Shivraj addressed the people of Dindori and praised them for their work. He stated that the number of daughters is more in comparison to the sons in this district. The people of Dindori are well aware of the respect given to a girl child. The females of Dindori are progressive in every field, especially in the advancement of seeds and agricultural land.
He further added that the state government needs to look after the continuous growth and progress of females in this district. They should be provided with proper facilities and requirements for their upliftment. Several self-help organizations and schemes like Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will help to change the lives of women towards a better future.
Since 2003, the state government has released many projects and schemes like Ladli Lakshmi Yojana to save girl children. The efforts made by the government have saved and increased the number of females. The state government has also looked after the poor families of girls and helped them get married by providing them with an amount of Rs 49,000 under the scheme of Mukhyamantri Vivah-Nikah Yojana.
A monthly aid of Rs 1000 will be provided to poor families from June 10, 2023, under the scheme Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana.
