On September 10, 2022, Yunometa, a global platform for NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), will introduce a Women's Chennai Open in the Metaverse and NFTs.
According to a press release from the company, the Metaverse will be divided into three sections: a tennis court, an NFT museum that will showcase Tamil Nadu's tourism and culture, and a virtual tour of the five most well-known locations with a vibrant Tamil culture. From September 10 to November 10, the Metaverse event is accessible.
The company claims that visitors can experience Tamil Nadu's rich culture and heritage by visiting five of the state's most well-known tourist destinations through the virtual tour. Fort St. George, Meenakshi Temple, Mahabalipuram Temple, St Thomas Cathedral Basillica and Vivekananda Rock Memorial are the locations.
In addition to building a distinctive digital environment for people to experience women's tennis, Yunometa, according to its founder Arijit Mukherjee, supports women's emancipation by providing them with a unique new platform to thrive and advance in the tennis world.
Yunometa is also giving fans of NFTs the chance to buy special NFTs that will soon be a part of the historic "WTA Chennai Open," he added.
By offering a variety of digital artworks that are genuine collectible NFTs, Yunometa aids in the monetization of the digital identity. It offers the trifecta of technology, people, and process to the collectors. Artists can, however, control a variety of NFT-related aspects with Yunometa, including configurations, blockchain pinning, analytics, user experience, APIs, integrations, custom terms and policies, and more.
Vijay Amritraj, Indian sports commentator, actor and retired professional tennis player said, "I am happy to be a part of the moments where I can see a promising future for the entertainment and sports industry and wish my very best to Yunometa for the future. With the launch of the Women's Tennis Tournament in the metaverse, it will be opening a lot of opportunities for both the players and the audience as they will be able to play the matches with the avatars of their favourite players without spending huge amounts from their pockets."
Visitors can choose their avatars and play a match on the tennis court at the Chennai Open Metaverse. "There will be a separate section where the media can visit and experience the match and keep an update on the matches happening in the event," says Yunometa's press statement.
