Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed Delhi's Miranda House and stated that gender equality is the most essential element to develop any society. He made these statements while speaking on the 'Role of Women in Indian Parliament.'

VP Jagdeep mentioned that "The role of women in Parliament is enormous, and their presence by itself will surcharge the atmosphere in legislatures." He believes that incorporating women's life experiences into governance can aid in policy evolution and resolution of larger issues.

He also highlights that the implementation of Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam has become a significant development in history aiming to ensure Bharat at 2047's peak performance during the nation's 100 years of independence.

The VP has selected 17 women parliamentarians who will lead the Upper House during the Rajya Sabha's discussion on the women's reservation bill. He urged female students to never be placed at the back but instead, always stand at the forefront. He expressed pride in the global presence of Indian women in power, stating that the world belongs to them and must be shaped by them.

Mr. Jagdeep attributed the success of the highest number of women parliamentarians in the 2019 General Elections to the Prime Minister's recent initiatives promoting women's empowerment.

The reserved seats for women representatives cannot be occupied by any other individual. He even quoted a few words from Mahatma Gandhi, "As long as Indian women do not participate in public life, there can be no salvation for the country."

Lastly, he emphasized that the PM led the Swacch Bharat Mission which highly prioritizes women's dignity and respect, focusing on toilets and gas connections for needy households, where women need to manage their duties.
