Women Employees to Run TPWODL Udit Nagar Electrical Sub-Division

Women employees have been granted the Udit Nagar Electrical Sub-Division in Rourkela by the Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Odisha government, marking a significant step towards gender equality and inclusivity in the workplace. The initiative, known as "Team Tejaswini," includes women in all key roles and is equipped with modern facilities for a comfortable work environment. 

The sub-division, managed entirely by women, aims to empower female employees in the power distribution sector and create a supportive work environment. Discom is transforming the sub-division that embraces gender diversity by including women in all significant roles, from Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) to junior engineers and commercial officers, and modern facilities are being provided to ensure a lenient and fruitful work environment ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.

Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) Joint Commissioner Pallavi Nayak and TPWODL CEO Praveen Kumar Verma celebrate Team Tejaswini's unique identity in western Odisha's electricity distribution, highlighting their commitment to gender diversity and inclusivity.

CEO Praveen Kumar Verma mentioned, "By dedicating the electrical sub-division exclusively to women, we are not only promoting a more balanced workplace but also empowering our women employees to lead and innovate."
