Aarti Kadav born and raised in Nagpur is an award-winning writer, director, and producer who resides and work's in Mumbai. In the initial days of her career, she worked as a software developer in the US as she was a computer science student but later she left this path and enrolled in a film directing school at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai.
In her career as a film director, she has produced six short films, some advertisements, and music promos. One of the short films was a 40-minute documentary named as Time Machine which was released in 2017 and is currently accessible on Amazon and Mubi. Her first motion picture, Cargo which was released in 2019, is a popular science fiction drama that examines life, death, and also reincarnation-related issues of life. It got screened at 27 film festivals worldwide including SXSW and the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival, where it was well recognized and received two major awards i.e. Audience awards and best Sci-Fi Feature award.
