The second deportation flight carrying Indian nationals allegedly migrated to the US landed in Amritsar, with women and children not restrained.

However, men deportees claimed that they were in shackles during the journey. There are ongoing discussions about treatment and arrangements for those deportees.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured deportees of proper treatment and made necessary arrangements. They will stay in Amritsar for a few hours before being taken to their respective states. The CM noted, "Our kids are the ones who are coming here anyway, so from here, no one can go hungry, we will make arrangements. We have also made staying arrangements for them. They will stay here for a few hours and then go to their respective states as the Ministry of External Affairs has already booked the flights."

CM Bhagwant Mann criticizes the Centre for treating the deported Indian nationals illegally in the US, accusing them of a conspiracy to 'defame' Punjabis, citing the selection of Amritsar for landing the deportation planes.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed willingness to take back its nationals living illegally in the US, emphasizing the need to end the "ecosystem" of human trafficking. He believes that those who are verified Indian citizens are ready to return to the US. Modi emphasized that most people staying illegally are from ordinary families misled by human traffickers. He believes that the US and India should work together to destroy the entire system of human trafficking.
