With Gold at Asian Qualifiers Shooter Esha Singh grabs Paris 2024 Olympic quota

Indian shooter Esha Singh achieved an Olympic quota spot after winning the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol event at the Asian Qualifiers. At the 2023 Asian Games, she also won two more silver medals in the 10m air pistol individual and team events. She also took home a silver medal in the women's 25m air pistol individual event. Young shooter Esha Singh is very talented and her goal is to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Esha Singh secured India's 15th Paris 2024 Olympic quota place in the 10m air pistol event, winning a gold medal at the Asian Qualifiers. Along with Esha, Varun Tomar also acquired the Olympic quota in the 10m Air Pistol.
India secured six medals at the continental event, including two team golds, with 20-year-old Esha claiming the top position by shooting 239.6 in the 10m Air Pistol, Arjun Cheema winning silver with 237.3, and Davaakhuu Enkhtaivan winning bronze with 217.2.
Earlier, Iran and Korea won the silver and bronze medals in the 10m air pistol competition, while Esha Tomar (586), Arjun Cheema (579), and Ujjawal Malik (575) shot a total of 1740 to win the team gold.
Kishmala Talat of Pakistan won the silver medal (236.3), and Rhythm Sangwan grabbed the bronze (214.5). In addition, Krishmala acquired her quota for the Paris Games, making history as the third shooter from Pakistan to do so. With a combined score of 1736, Esha, Rhythm, and Surbhi Rao also took home the gold medal for their team.
At the Senayan Shooting Range in Jakarta, 385 athletes from 26 countries compete for 256 medals, including 84 gold, 84 silver, and 88 bronze in the 10m air pistol events. India previously won 13 Olympic quota places in shooting.
