VMinclusion Taara collaborates with Rotary district 3131 to upskill women in digital technologies

VMware, Inc. announced a collaboration with Rotary District 3131 in Pune to enable women in the city retrain in digital technologies and restart their careers. Through VMware's VMinclusion Taara - one of India's largest upskilling initiatives – VMware and Rotary District 3131, Pune, want to empower women in Pune, Maharashtra, to upskill in the latest digital technologies most relevant in the next phase of digitalization. Under the “Women Empowerment” Program, the Rotary District 3131 - Community and Economic Development team provides opportunities for women to upskill and find meaningful career possibilities in rural and urban regions.
Rotary District 3131 aims to provide skilling opportunities to communities for the betterment and economic development of those communities, as well as a platform for women to foster deeper and better opportunities by enabling skill up-grading, networking opportunities, and career options as part of the workforce. Rotary District 3131 will use the combined project to reach out to clubs, members, and the wider community to promote the programme.

VMware's VMinclusion Taara programme intends to upskill 15,000 women in Cloud Management & Automation, Data Center Virtualization, Networking, and Digital Workplaces by providing free technical education and certification courses. Since the program's inception two years ago, over 12,000 women have signed up, and the number continues to rise. Thousands of Taara graduates have successfully re-entered the workforce after completing the programme, demonstrating the industry's rising acceptance and demand for women technologists.
