U.S. Ambassador to India praises Genus Power for its 60% Female Workforce

The U.S. Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, recently visited Genus Power Infrastructures Limited's manufacturing unit in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He was highly impressed by the fact that over 60 per cent of the workforce comprises women at the plant and applauded Genus Power for its commitment to gender diversity and inclusivity. The high-level U.S. delegation was organized by the plant which welcomed the U.S. Ambassador to India, USAID India's Mission Director Mr. Steve Olive, and USAID India's Director of the Indo-Pacific Office Mr. Aaron Schubert.
The delegation visited Genus' advanced manufacturing plant, the state-of-the-art, and praised for deploying over 80 million smart meters, contributing to smart grid infrastructure. They praised Genus' focus on climate change and sustainable infrastructure, the partnership between the U.S. and India, and its gender diversity, with women comprising over 60 per cent of the workforce. The company's inclusivity and employment opportunities for physically disabled persons were also praised.
Raj Agarwal, CEO of Genus Power, expressed his honor in hosting the delegation and underscored the significance of collaboration in addressing global energy challenges. He mentioned, "We are honored to welcome such a distinguished delegation and showcase our advancements in clean energy and smart metering solutions. This visit reaffirms the importance of collaboration in tackling global energy challenges, and we are eager to explore new opportunities to expand globally."
