Union Minister Jitendra Singh highlights Impact of Indian Women-led Startups Globally

Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh highlighted the global impact of Indian women-led startups, including India's solar mission Aditya L1, led by Nigar Shaji, known as ISRO's "Sunny Lady." Indian women are excelling even in challenging and male-dominated sectors.
He emphasized the importance of women's development in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance agenda. The Union Minister mentioned, "Women-led development is a key priority of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance agenda with the vision that women-led startups will place India on the global map in the years to come and our women entrepreneurs have the potential to realize that goal."
Union Minister Jitendra Singh spoke to a delegation during an event led by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry-Ladies Organization's (FICCI-FLO) YFLO (Young FICCI Ladies Organization) Delhi President Payal Kanodia. The Minister outlined PM Modi's vision for Indian startups to lead the global innovation race, with women-led businesses at the forefront.
He added that since 2014, women's empowerment has gained practical significance through welfare schemes like PM MUDRA and PM Vishwakarma, benefiting the women workforce. Modi's leadership has promoted women's entrepreneurship, with nearly 70 per cent of youth receiving financial assistance under PM MUDRA Yojana being women, enabling them to start businesses and become job providers.
Minister Jitendra notes that women's empowerment has led to women taking leadership roles in various professions. The Modi government has revolutionized employment opportunities for youth by combining Indian tradition with modernity, considering the country's diversity.
