FICCI FLO hosts 'Trade Connect' fostering Inclusive Community of Women Entrepreneurs

The FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) recently organized a Trade Connect event at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi where around 50 women entrepreneurs from its 20 chapters across India showcased their products and services. The event included interactive sessions with representatives from 17 countries, including Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Peru, Sri Lanka, the USA, the UK, Egypt, and Tunisia.

Uber, a multinational transportation company that offers ride-hailing services, introduced a new feature allowing women drivers to accept ride requests only from female passengers aiming to improve safety and comfort during late-night rides and enhance the daily experiences of its Indian drivers. The feature also prompts drivers to take a selfie with their helmet, record audio if uncomfortable, and cash out earnings instantly. This is part of Uber's commitment to enhance driver safety and transparency in India.
